Delete your Whisperly account

How to request deletion

1. Sign in to the Whisperly web app.
2. Open Settings, then choose My Account. In Text Chat, this section is labelled Account.
3. Under Delete Account, select Delete Account.
4. Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT, then select Schedule Account Deletion.

What happens after your request

Your account is disabled and you are signed out immediately. Permanent deletion is scheduled for 14 days after your request.

During those 14 days, sign in and select Restore Account to cancel the request. After the scheduled deletion is finalized, the account cannot be restored.

Data deleted at finalization

When deletion is finalized, Whisperly deletes or clears:

• Your sign-in credentials and account profile details, including username, avatar, gender and location fields.
• Your friends, friend requests, notification state and plan access.
• Messages you sent, conversation memberships, chat history, call records and related account activity.
• Analytics records directly linked to your account.

Data retained after deletion

Whisperly keeps a de-identified account record with deletion timestamps and limited trust, report, flag and ban information. We also retain limited deletion audit, safety or moderation, and payment, refund, dispute or fraud-prevention records where needed to document the request, protect users, prevent abuse, handle transactions or meet legal obligations.

Some technical settings may remain linked only to the de-identified account record. The current system does not set a separate automatic deletion period for these retained records. Payment providers may also retain transaction records under their own policies. Retained records cannot restore your profile or account access.
